Three Things Thursday

1. I am so so so so so jealous of everyone that gets to run/experience the NYC marathon. I'll be watching Silly Girl and T from Racing With Babes. Who else can I stalk??? As for me? Next year, people. Next year.

2. Now that I am back to reality (fall racing is done, I only have a few races left this year), I can really dig back into the RLRF program. I adjusted my goal paces based on my faster half marathons I ran a few weeks ago. I managed a decent (faster) tempo run on Wednesday and have BIG plans to run 18 miles at MP+30 on the treadmill tomorrow. Don't be jealous...

3. Spring catalog for school is out, and I'm SUPER DUPER excited. If I register fast enough, I can get back to back classes and only have to go TWO days a week. Woot!!

(and BONUS... I got my 200th follower today. Thank you!!)

Three Things Thursday...

... and why the bloggy world is the BEST.

1. I'm registered to run the Edinburgh Marathon in May, and I plan to meet up with one of my favorite bloggers... SILLY GIRL! (Who sent me an AWESOME shirt last month!)

2.  I'm absolutely DYING to do the early registration for the San Francisco Marathon. And I'm desperately trying to convince Heather at 365 Awesome Days days to run it as her FIRST full marathon...

3. I've been in a running rut and Lisa over at Because I Can sent me a care package in hope of making running more FUN for me. I can't wait to wear one of these for my long run on Saturday.

The pink is really purple, my house has poor lighting
Thank you so much to all my bloggy friends!

TGIF!!!

So I've been struggling with my Newtons ever since the ones I loved were discontinued. I'd switched to the other shoes Newton makes and nothing seems to feel quite right. So... I exchanged the last pair of Lady Isaacs and I'm happy to be trying the Saucony Kinvara 2's! Aren't they BEAUTIFUL??? I haven't done the treadmill testing in years. Turns out I've been wearing a neutral shoe but I have the highest arches in the world. Throw in a pair of insoles and I'm pretty psyched to try these! (Not to mention they are about HALF the cost of what I'd been spending on Newtons. And at 6-7 pairs in the last year??)

Look what was in my mailbox today!!! Thanks Silly Girl!!!

And......

Remember last week when I was talking about finding my passion?? I've decided what I want to do, and this week I filled out my application to take my starter course in... CRIMINAL JUSTICE at my local community college (where I got my A.A. over a decade ago). As you can see by the above, I just ADORE shopping for school supplies and I am PSYCHED that I will be going back in the fall. I was one of those people that went to college just because I liked it. I have a fairly useless BA in English (with a minor in History), so I don't need to take any general education course, just focused courses in my area of interest.

Week in Review (September 22 - September 28)
