Week in Review (May 16 - May 22)

Tuesday (10,774 steps) - Work in the office. Did my cross training at lunch, and finally used the building's Peloton! I'm glad I mentioned it to Ben and asked about having to bring in my own shoes to clip in - turns out they have baskets!
It was a pretty night out, thanks to another afternoon rain storm.
Wednesday (18,173 steps) - Work in the office. Went for a walk at lunch. After work I hurried up to Boulder to meet up with Tyler for a run. It was a bit humid, and I had planned on "hiking" pace for my first run since Coco, but it didn't end up working out that way.

Stopped at the store long enough to chat with Kyla and Gemini and have a sparkling water, then headed home for dinner with Ariel.
Thursday (10,460 steps) - My birthday - wooo. Still was a work from home day. Ariel took me to get a pedicure at lunch (finally fixed my janky toenails from the last pedicure - which was when Heather visited in JANUARY).
Took Olive for walk at lunch, and kinda got caught in a rain/thunderstorm. BUT, we saw the first owl of the season!

Ariel had graduation stuff, so after work I went with Ben to 4 Noses. They were doing a special BBQ for mug club people (us!), so that was a nice (free) dinner.
Friday (16,975 steps) - Walk at Wash Park and coffee! Pete bought my drink and a cinnamon roll, yum!
AND, Nicole and I finally went to lunch for our birthdays. We went to Capital Grille, and it was DELICIOUS. Especially this cake.
Rushed home after work to do last minute packing for our camping weekend! We got out maybe by 6, which wasn't too bad, all things considered. It was raining in the mountains, and we even got some snow near the tunnel. Woof. Don't want a repeat of last year! Stopped at Outer Range.

Had to stop at Safeway on the way to the campground to get some groceries and firewood.
We ended up having a VERY late dinner!
Saturday (25,405 steps) - Up early, but didn't sleep great, unfortunately.
Went into town to Whole Foods to get coffee and breakfast. Then, we were off to do the run that I had route around the peninsula. It was thankfully not as smoky as Denver (from the fires in Canada), but it was a bit cloudy. Warmer than expected, and we were both really grateful to be in the mountains!

Went to Outer Range and then back to the campground for a bit. I picked a Mexican restaurant in Frisco for my birthday dinner and it was delicious!! We ended up watching "You" in the camper when it got colder because Ben still hasn't seen the most recent season. Made it until about 10 before I just couldn't keep my eyes open.
Sunday (24,888 steps) - Woke up pretty early again, didn't sleep great. Since we had to check out of the campground by noon, we opted to do the run early. Was supposed to do 2 hours, but that really wasn't in the cards. We called it about 90 minutes in. Nice day, though!

Got back, had birthday (carrot) cake for breakfast and loaded everything up. Stopped at Mountain Dweller (Outer Range) for coffee before heading home. For the first time in probably years, ZERO traffic going home. It was nice. Got everything unpacked, took Olive for a walk.
Monday (24,647 steps) - Work from home. I did my run early, thankfully, because it wasn't that smoky. I haven't been out to the lake in probably a month because of all the rain. Nice to see that the rangers are still fucking everything up:
Took Olive for a walk. and nearly was hit in the crosswalk - even WITH hitting the flashing pedestrian crossing lights. Maybe my outfit isn't bright enough?

Ariel had to work so I had an Amazon Watch Party with Ben. It was kinda neat, but I got disconnected from the Wifi about halfway through so that was irritating.

Week in Review (May 9 - May 15)

Tuesday (10,872 steps) - Work in the office. Another crazy busy day. I did actually get out for a walk at lunch. Took Olive for a walk when I got home.
Must've met Ben for a beer? No idea.
Wednesday (12,121 steps) - Work in the office. Weather wasn't great for a walk outside, but I did get down to the gym and read on the treadmill. There were tornado warnings and hail threats, thankfully got home without any damage to my car. Took Olive for a walk when I got home. Nothing else?
Thursday (10,423 steps) - Work from home. Lunch walk with Olive. There's now a lake at the bottom of the driveway from all the dumb rain.
Did all my grocery shopping, including a full trunk of items from Costco.
Friday (12,277 steps) - More rain, so we skipped the Wash Park walk and coffee. Work in the office. Walked on the treadmill and read at lunch. Did some deliveries, walked Olive, met Ben for a beer.
Saturday (13,761 steps) - Nice to not have anything to do, but also... what do people do on the weekends? Thought about cleaning, but didn't. Did some deliveries, took Olive for a walk. Met Ben for a "hike" before going to get a beer.

Who knows what else?
Sunday (10,038 steps) - Mother's Day! Ariel brought me coffee and a donut and gave me the sweetest card.

I also was given a wildflower set of Legos, but I told A I would wait for her help putting them together. Did some deliveries, not sure what else. Met up with Ben for a beer? Ariel and I did about half the Legos. Watched TV - in bed relatively early.
Monday (11,482 steps) - Work from home. Finally did all the cleaning I hadn't done over the weekend. Took Olive for a walk at lunch, did my Costco shopping. Ariel and I finished the Legos! Aren't these great?
A had her Academic awards banquet. She received Outstanding Instrumental Music Award for 11th Grade.

Bittersweet, because she isn't taking orchestra next year because of the lack of an advanced course. Ben and I went to 4 Noses for a beer, then it was a solo dinner at home and more Nip/Tuck reruns.

Weeks in Review (April 25 - May 8)

Since I got behind with racing, I'm combining two weeks. I can barely remember anything anyway.

Tuesday 25th (11,395 steps) - Work in the office. Did a 20 minute upper body workout at lunch, and then walked on the treadmill and read more of my book. Working on packing - proving to be a nightmare.
With the course finally being finalized, I went through and made my miniature segment charts.
No idea what else.
Wednesday 26th (11,570 steps) - Work in the office. Administrative Professional day! Got a gift card from the executive committee and they catered in a very nice lunch for us.

Headed up to Boulder with Olive after work because it was supposedly Sandy's last run club. She wasn't there, though. We had a nice walk around the lake though!
Thursday 27th (16,018 steps) - Work from home. Walk with Olive at lunch. Finally got all my drop bags ready to go! I took pictures of all of them, since I can never remember what I put in them.
Took Olive to Belmar and did some "running" but since it was just us, she wasn't super motivated. We did see horses though, which she found super interesting.
Friday 28th (11,565 steps) - Wash Park and coffee with the gang. Work in the office. Met Ben for a beer and was able to have a flight of Micheladas that was delicious.
Saturday 29th (15,041 steps) - A had (what she thought would be) her last meet of the season. Headed down to the stadium and got to watch her run.

I had a 30 minute run on schedule, and I mapped out a route to do between events. The run was fine, although what I picked ended up having to be run on the shoulder as there were no sidewalks. It all worked out. Took Olive for a walk when I got home. Finished/finalized packing.
Sunday 30th (14,843 steps) - Up early for our flight! Ben took a Lyft to the house and Ariel drove us (what a kid, getting up at 5 am to do this!) Our flight was uneventful. I watched "The Whale" and it was a bit disappointing. No issues with our rental car, thankfully. We were both hungry, so I found a hole in the wall Mexican place and we got breakfast.
I still had a walk on schedule, so I found a park/hill for us to get a walk in - and maybe some heat acclimation, since it was SO HOT. I was glad I had changed out of my flip flops, Ben was in his Crocs and didn't have a great time.
We went to Front Pourch for a beer and then went to the start to check in for the race and get my bib.

Checked in to the hotel and then went to Bobby Q's for dinner - and it was delicious! Stopped at the store for groceries. Actually went to bed early, but didn't end up sleeping great.
Monday 1st (114,001 steps) - Cocodona 250

Tuesday 2nd (122,394 steps) - Cocodona 250
Wednesday 3rd (110,548 steps) - Cocodona 250
Thursday 4th (104,898 steps) - Cocodona 250
Friday 5th (112,441 steps) - Cocodona 250
Saturday 6th (44,754 steps) - Cocodona 250. Well, we did it!
Thankfully, we had booked at the Marriott right down the street. We found our drop bags and figured since it was still early morning and everyone was done, we would have some breakfast and shower, etc. We didn't bother cleaning up before heading to the buffet, which was pretty good. After showering, we made the mistake of "resting our eyes" and the next thing we knew it was hours later. We decided to go to the brewery for our post race celebrations.
There was more napping, attempts at watching "Naked and Afraid," and dinner.

Otherwise, who knows.
Sunday 7th (10,585 steps) - Somehow the morning got away from us. Between packing everything up, walking to get the most delicious smoothie ever, having breakfast, etc., before we knew it, it was time to drive back down to Phoenix so we could return the rental car and catch our flight. I had found a good brewery near-ish the airport.

We also were able to get food from next door, so that was nice. Our flight was delayed a bit, but Ben upgraded and we got a seat in the 4th row. I think I watched Pitch Perfect again. Tyler picked us up at the airport, what a great friend!
Monday 8th (12,347 steps) - Work from home. I was trying to dig my way out after being out for a week, and also covering for Nicole. It was a CRAZY work day. Took Olive for a walk at lunch. Weather was nice enough to go to the lake, and she likes looking at ducks.
Unpacked, did laundry. Not sure of what else.
