Week in Review (January 27 - February 2)

Tuesday (13,111 steps) - Up a little earlier than usual to take a live Peloton class for my 350th ride! Still no shout out - really thought it was my time since he (Bradley) started them at 300 classes. I didn't hear anyone other than even 100s though. Sigh. At least the music was good! Took Olive for a walk before going into the office. Had a staff meeting at lunch - at least there was lunch? Some not so good changes coming (in addition to the ones I found out about last fall). Sigh. After the meeting I went down to the gym and walked a few miles on the treadmill. Did a delivery on my way home from work, then Ben and I took Blue-C to the carwash. Took Olive for a walk, dinner, sauna and more Following.
Wednesday (16,978 steps) - Olive walk before going to work in the office. Went for a run at lunch and did some mobility before going back to work.
Took Olive for a walk when I got home and sauna time after dinner. We watched Greenland 2, which I didn't think was as good as the first one.
Thursday (15,255 steps) - Work from home. Olive had her appointment for a haircut at 9:30, so I walked her over and ran home (like the last time). Showered and worked until it was time to pick her up. She was VERY excited to see me. Long walk home, which she enjoyed.

Torchy's for dinner and sauna after. Following .
Friday (10,690 steps) - Walk with Olive before going to work in the office. It was a really busy day at work, but we still made it out for a longer walk at lunch.
Met Ben at 4 Noses for NA happy hour. Dinner and took Olive for a short walk before more Following.
Saturday (26,431 steps) - Took Olive for a walk before heading up to Boulder for more burrito loops. The weather was much warmer this time. Ben and I did all our loops with Tyler, which was fun. Lots of giveaways, including Roll flip flops, food and burrito blankets.
Chowder!!

Stopped at 4 Noses on the way home, then took Olive for a walk. Dinner was surprise pho! Following.
Sunday (11,388 steps) - Did some cleaning and reading before taking Olive to the dog park. Any time the weather is nice the parking lot is insane - at least we were able to get a spot.
Rails End afterwards, although it was really busy so we didn't stay as long as normal.
Home, where apparently we napped for a bit. Ben and I took Olive for a walk. Reading, dinner and more Following. A relaxing Sunday that flew by.
Monday (18,833 steps) - Work from home. Took Olive for a walk, then at lunch I finally went for my run. I had been dreading it all morning since it looked cold out, but it was fine.
Sauna, shower, lunch. After work I did a delivery before meeting Ben at Costco to grocery shop and pick up a pizza. Olive walk and more Following.

Week in Review (November 18 - November 24)

Tuesday (12,410 steps) - Olive walk before going to work in the office. I felt pretty terrible the whole day.
At least I looked adorable wearing my newest boots!
Walked on the treadmill at lunch. Had Ben pick me up after I walked Olive to go to 4 Noses for happy hour. Dinner at home (soup, since I wasn't feeling great) and then we watched "A Deadly American Marriage"
Wednesday (12,564 steps) - Olive walk before going to work in the office. Still felt terrible. Had the surprise retirement party for Chris to end the day. Took Olive for a walk and had dinner. Finished "A Deadly American Marriage" and then started a really cheese movie called "Brick."
Thursday (10,227 steps) - Work from home! Did a short Peloton ride and laundry. Took Blue-C down to Big O to get a new tire. No flat this time, just a bad wear pattern. Also got a much-needed alignment. Took Olive for a long walk to the lake.
Ariel showed up while I was finishing up work. We met Ben at Torchy's for a belated birthday dinner for her. Did some presents at home after, took Olive for another walk and then Ben and I watched "Beneath the Light" after Ariel went home.
Friday (10,627 steps) - Olive walk before going to work. Another very busy morning. Took Olive for a walk at lunch. After work, another Olive walk. Ben picked me up and we went to 4 Noses for happy hour. Trip to Costco with pizza for dinner and an attempt at watching a movie "The Captive," but I fell asleep at 8:30 so that was a bust.
Saturday (10,664 steps) - Wasn't sure if I was going to try an easy run today, but ended up just taking Olive for a longer walk to the lake/beach area.
We bagged all the leaves in the front yard and went to 4 Noses for a beer, leaving just before the sun set.
Took Olive for another walk and we had a fun "charcuterie" plate for dinner.
Finished up "The Captive" - it was really good and hard to believe that we had not seen it before.
Sunday (11,389 steps) - Ben got us Dutch and we did some cleaning while deciding what we were going to do. I've been debating joining a gym again (I haven't officially belonged to one since COVID!), so Ben and I went to take a tour at the one down the street. Took Olive to the dog park for a long walk and then went to Rails End for a beer.

Home for pajama time. Watched "Wish Upon" and started a new series "Absentia."
Monday (13,625 steps) - Work from home. Olive had a grooming appointment - but the girl she has been seeing for the last two years is now working out of her home! She only lives about a half mile from us, so I walked Olive over and dropped her off and started my run from there. I had a 30 minute "shuffle" on schedule, which is exactly what I did. Not bad, considering it was my first run since Florida. Took a shower and did some more work before walking back over to get Olive.
Had a quick (very late) breakfast at home and then went to meet Ariel at Ziggi's for a coffee. Finished out the afternoon working and then did a few deliveries since Uber was running another promotion. Took Olive for a walk while Ben made dinner. More Absentia!

Stats:
  • 81,506 steps
  • 2.4 miles run
  • 20.61 miles walked

Week in Review (October 14 - October 20)

Tuesday (12,281 steps) - Peloton and Olive walk before going to work in the office.
Went to the gym at lunch and did some strength training and a walk on the treadmill. Headed home after work and took Olive for another walk. I had received a notification earlier in the day that we were having an internet outage - it ended up lasting all evening, which meant NO television!! I still have all my DVDs but no player. We also basically live in a cell phone dead zone. SO, that meant cleaning up the mud room - it's been an overwhelming task but we got a great start on it.
Wednesday (23,345 steps) - I actually had to get up early so I could get my workout in before work. I had hill sprints to do and wasn't sure I would have time to do it after work, sooooo up at 5:10 and on the trails within 15 minutes. I did pick a good hill for the springs, but I unfortunately misread the workout and it ended up being about 20 minutes later than I had planned, so I had to semi cut it short and do a less steep hill closer to the house, PLUS cut the cool down short. Better than nothing!
Olive walk before going to work in the office. Took a longer walk at lunch since the weather was nice. Olive walk after work. We made dinner and watched "Nobody 2."
Thursday (11,136 steps) - Work from home!! Was pretty busy with work all day. Took Olive to the dog park for a run/walk.
Got in a short ride on the Peloton and more strength training. After work met Ben at Torchy's for dinner. We are running out of things to watch, started a show called "Dark Wolf" that isn't terrible.
Friday (10,378 steps) - Olive walk before going into the office for a half day. Left at lunch so I would have time to walk Olive before the guys showed up to blow out our sprinklers. After work we met up with Ben for happy hour at 4 Noses - their NA beer is really pretty terrible. Took Olive for a walk.
Home for dinner and Dark Wolf.
Saturday (30,041 steps) - We were supposed to run with Christina, but she texted early to say her son was sick so she was going to run solo. Took Olive for a short walk.
Impatient - "MOM LET'S GO"
On to plan b, running in Boulder. This was... ok. Not good, not bad, not awful. With about an hour left a front seemed to blow in and we were happy there was no moisture accompanying it.

Went to 4 Noses and thankfully we were able to sit inside since we didn't have Olive with us. We took Olive for a walk when we got home. After that, not sure what else we did. Dinner? Watched "Play Dirty" which wasn't great, but probably better than the 3 stars it was given. Tried a new NA beer. Taste wasn't bad, but there was... chunky/pulpy things in the bottom? I guess the key is to not drink the very end of it.
Sunday (17,180 steps) - Up early to head to Louisville for the Roost "fall party." I had a workout on schedule, so Ben, Olive and I went for a run on the mesa. It wasn't bad, especially considering Olive doesn't super enjoy running.

We got back to the store to find out that everyone was delayed leaving so we headed back out to meet Maureen and Colfax.
Stuck around for a bit before heading towards home. Stopped at Ziggi's for a protein smoothie and a trip to Noses for Ben. Food truck looked delicious, so we got something to eat - the bacon was phenomenal.
Nap, shower, took Olive for a walk and then I went out driving for a bit.
Did my pilates video with Olive and Ben ordered in pizza for dinner and watched "Locked" - which wasn't great. Tried another NA - this one didn't taste like a juicy IPA, but at least it didn't have weird stuff in the bottom of the glass.
Monday (16,449 steps) - Work from home! I had a run to do and hoped that if I went early the wind wouldn't be too bad. Spoiler, it was already horrible when I woke up. I dressed crazy warm for it and was relatively comfortable until I was heading back towards home and had to take off the jacket.
All in all, I was dressed fairly appropriately. Took Olive for a walk and then did laundry, ran the dishwasher and took a shower. Ariel came home for the day and we went to get the new latte from Dunkin. Delicious!!
Watched the Haunting of the Queen Mary while finishing out the work day. Took Olive for a walk after work. Made dinner and started the documentary on John Wayne Gacy. Definitely learned some things!

Stats:
  • 120,810 steps
  • 28.89 miles run
  • 14.61 miles walked
  • 30 minutes of cardio
  • 80 minutes of strength

Week in Review (August 26 - September 1)

Tuesday (11,094 steps) - Olive walk before going to work in the office. Gym at lunch, including a Peloton ride, the StairMaster (just a short one) and hiking on the treadmill at 12-13% incline AND some weights.
Took Olive for a walk before dinner at Torchy's. Bosch.
Wednesday (12,078 steps) - Olive walk before going to work. Decided to go to the gym again at lunch, instead of going for a run. Upper body, core and more hiking on the treadmill at 12-13%. Olive walk after work. Dinner & Bosch.
Thursday (20,914 steps) - Work from home. Went for a longer run and my first time on Little Dry Creek in AGES, since it has been raining the whole week. Felt pretty good for the first half and then it was a little bit of a fight to the finish.
Took Olive on a long walk to the lake. Definitely got hotter and more humid.
Another dinner at Torchy's and MORE RAIN.
Bosch.
Friday (15,846 steps) - Wash Park for the first time in ages. Olive and I went to work and took a walk at lunch. Headed home to pack for camping/volunteering. Since we both had gotten off work early for the long weekend we were out the door by 5, but hit rain and a lot of traffic leaving town. We stopped at a brewery in Loveland for a beer and dinner. Yay for a dog-friendly brewery! We also picked up food from the restaurant next door - I had a delicious green chili and chicken sandwich.

When we got to FRUD, we walked over to get our parking pass and to say hi to everyone. It was getting late, so we decided to head to the camper. OF COURSE it started to rain right after leaving the pavilion, so we all got soaked. Watched an episode of Bosch before going to bed.
Saturday (15,027 steps) - Incredibly early wake up call for volunteering, since our shift was at 6 am. We went to get coffee at Dutch Bros before really getting to working. I mostly did packet pick up and of course had to prep food. Saw quite a few people we knew. Took Olive for a quick walk after the 10 am start of the Saturday runners. Olive was a hit with the other volunteers and runners.
Took Olive for a little bit of a longer walk in the afternoon since she was getting restless, and we ended up doing the 2 mile loop.
She finally conked out after a big, long day.
The temperatures were SO MUCH BETTER than last year. We were also treated to a beautiful sunset.
Our shift finally ended at 10, and we went over to the camper to sit and have a beer before going to bed.
We were all too exhausted to do much, however, and went to bed pretty quick.
Sunday (18,810 steps) - Since we were still around, we walked over to the aid station after waking up (maybe around 7 or 7:30) and decided to work for part of the day. I went for a run after the Sunday racers started. It was definitely warmer and sunnier - but glad to get some mileage in. Embarrassingly sore from... volunteering? Early afternoon we decided that we were going to head home. Stopped at another new brewery on the way home - 300 Suns - for lunch. The beer was meh, but the food was delicious! Especially the cheese curds (not in this pic).
Vegged the rest of the evening, Bosch.
Monday (10,399 steps) - Slept in! Coffee on the deck with Batman and Olive.
Went to Torchy's for breakfast and then decided to take Olive to the dog park in hopes that there would still be some water in the creek for her to get her paws wet. Thankfully, there was!
4 Noses and then dinner at home, more Bosch.

Stats:
  • 104,168 steps
  • 12.32 miles run
  • 16.7 miles walked
