Week in Review (July 29 - August 4)

Tuesday (89,694 steps) - Summit 200
Wednesday (66,078 steps) - Summit 200
Thursday (13,506 steps) - Summit 200 DNF. Well, I promptly fell asleep when I got in Lee's truck and have zero recollection of the drive back to his house.
Problem One. All my drop bags that had clean clothes were still at aid stations. And the bag with my non running clothes were in Ben's truck, which was currently parked at the Duck Creek aid station. I took a shower at Lee's and borrowed clothes from Jillian to change into. I slept on and off for a few hours while they went to pick up Ben's truck. Ben, Jillian and I went to the Dillon Dam Brewery for dinner. Service was terrible and food was marginal. Need to remember for next time. Watched Wallace & Gromet "Wrong Trousers" but we were exhausted so we turned in early.
Friday (10,223 steps) - Tried to sleep in a bit, but I hadn't slept well. Jillian was out pacing Tek (waaaahhhh) so it was just me and Ben and Lee for breakfast. We hit up a new (to us) spot for breakfast - the  Mountain Lyon Cafe. It was delicious and I ate every single last bite of this.
I think we went back to Lee's for a bit. Ben and I went to Outer Range for a beer before heading over to the finish line. This was really tough for me, but I did want to see Tek/Jillian and Ana finish. Walked around a bit so I could get my steps in, but the weather was pretty gnarly.
Spent most of the time under the tent at the finish line talking to Andrea and Rebecca and whomever else happened to be there. When I hit my max time there Ben and I decided to figure out our plan. Back to Outer Range for a beer and then we hit up Pho for dinner. So delicious!!
Back to Lee's. Watched The Lorax.
Saturday (14,641 steps) - Rolled out of bed and tried to start organizing stuff to pack up to go home. Jillian said she wanted to go for a walk and I offered to go with her. I didn't realize Lee was going to join, and I was surprised that we veered away from our normal neighborhood walk. Crocs probably weren't the best footwear choice, but we wandered around the trails behind his house, and even ended up at the Tenderfoot trailhead! Crazy how close he is to it.

We did want to get home and since Ariel was working we needed to get Olive anyway. Quick trip to Outer Range for a beer and more sushi. This visit was crowded and took a long time to get food/drinks, but makes sense since it was the weekend.
Unloaded the truck, grabbed Olive and went to 4 Noses.
Since obviously we hadn't been to the store we picked up food from the food truck.
Bosch! It's been a while.
Sunday (10,230 steps) - Blah. What to do. Well, we spent the morning unpacking, cleaning and recombobulating. We went to Torchy's for lunch and got some margaritas.
We initially had wanted to go to 4 Noses for the cheesecake/beer pairing but the price was insanely outrageous. We still went for a beer. We had to plan the evening and decided we didn't have enough time to go to Costco. Instead, we went to Home Depot (I think this might have been Olive's first visit?) and picked up a swamp cooler. I am tired of roasting to death watching TV at night and while sleeping. Yes, I realize summer is almost over.
Bosch marathon and Ben surprised me with a delivery from Panda Express!
Monday (10,447 steps) - Back to work. It seemed that all my coverage was done very well and I only came back to 91 emails. And at least 10% of those were "reply all" emails that didn't even apply to me. The most aggravating part of my day was how slow the internet was! Why?! I took Olive for a walk and then headed down to Denver for my pulmonology appointment at National Jewish. Unfortunately, like I expected, it was just an initial Meet and Greet type of visit, nothing resolved or plan moving forward other than to schedule some tests... dropped off the jacket I had picked up for Christina and then met Ariel at Torchy's for a very late lunch. After I got off work I had hoped to do some driving (it's been a very long time since I've done it regularly), but didn't get any offers. Ended up driving to Parry's to meet up with Ben for dinner. Had a beer and the spicy fettuccini, which I think is one of the only menu items I hadn't had before?
Took Olive for a walk when I got back.  Bosch, and all the animals enjoying the swamp cooler. So hot.

Week in Review (March 17 - March 23)

Tuesday (16,967 steps) - Work from home, day 2. Went for a run at the lake with Ben during lunch. We were invited over to Kristin's house for a St. Patrick's Day dinner, and since we had already been socializing in the past week, we figured it was safe even with the new social distancing regulations.
Fun evening, and again, probably the last time that will happen for a while :(
Wednesday (17,908 steps) - Work from home, day 3. Very frustrating day with a super slow network, so didn't get much done. At least Ben has me set up with a pretty cool home office.
Waited until after work to go for a run with Ben, another 6 miles done.
Thursday (11,913 steps) - Snowpocalypse and work from home day 4.
Batman needs treats!
Doug works at a restaurant downtown, and to help support small business we ordered food and Kristin delivered it to us.
Only time we really got outside was to take Pika for walks. Ugh.

Friday (12,798 steps) - Work from home day 5. Cold AF, and again, only took Pika out for walks. Between isolation & the storm, we aren't getting out as much as I'd like.
We went to 4 Noses to pick up a growler and got Pho for dinner.

Saturday (23,184 steps) - In this new world when time has stopped, I didn't need to get up early. Ben and I decided that we spend enough time together now, so I did my "long" run alone. It wasn't terrible, and I ran a bit further than I had initially planned.

Ted stopped buy to pick up the beer I had picked up for him, it was good to see someone "new."
Sunday (20,962 steps) - Set the alarm for 6:30 in the morning so we could get to the grocery store right when it opened. What a sad time we are in! We had to go to three stores and still couldn't find any fresh meat, but we got most of what we needed. I went for another solo run that was faster than I normally do, but the headwind made me super miserable on the way back.
We invited Tyler over for a "watch party" before watching Walking Dead.
Monday (18,495 steps) - Work from home, mixed in with a few walks with Pika. Ariel and I went to the Asian market and managed to find meat and fresh veggies to make stir fry. We also made a cheesecake!

We had a fun group video chat with the folks from Belmar, and then we facetimed with Greg for HOURS - the next best thing to being at the brewery, I guess. Up way too late.
Stats:
  • 122,227 steps
  • 24.9 miles run
  • NO gym classes :( - I did do an upper body video, and Ariel and I did a core video one day.

Week in Review (February 4 - February 10)

Tuesday (12,258 steps) - Core class during lunch. Milk Market was cancelled for poor conditions (ice and freezing temps) so I stopped at Sprouts on the way home to make stir fry for dinner. Super delicious - haven't made it in a long time. Took Pika for a VERY cold walk after.
We watched a weird movie "Midsommar" - staying up a bit too late.
Wednesday (19,243 steps) - Upper body class during lunch. Runners Roost Boulder! Another run where we started at the trail head. Boulder definitely got more snow than we did in the metro area and most of this "run" was postholing and sliding around on loose powder.

Add in wind and it was not my favorite run. The dogs sure loved it, though.
After, we went to Under the Sun with JT for dinner and so A could sell cookies. We ended up not getting home until nearly 10:00. Ugh. Way too late for during the week.
Thursday (11,576 steps) - Core class during lunch. Took Pika for a quick walk.
Took A to her last track meet of the season. As a fun bonus, this was also the "biggest" track meet of the season and once again A was racing in the second to last event. She didn't run until 9:00. at night! on a school night!

I had been listening to the conversations around me during the earlier events regarding the amount of snow that was falling while we were inside - and when we headed home at 9:15 we discovered it was not exaggerated. I almost got stuck just getting out of my parking space and had to drive the entire way home with my hazards on because I was going so slow. Ugh. Took 45 minutes to get home and it was totally scary and miserable. Thankfully, Ben had picked up pizza for dinner, although I super hate eating after 10 at night.
Friday (15,781 steps) - We had a two-hour delay due to the snow for work. With the delay, I went with Pika and Ben on a walk.
Of course I was super pissed off having to go into work, and the drive in was NOT fun. Work was super lame and not busy at all, which fueled my annoyance at having to go in at all. We at least got an early release, and luckily the drive home wasn't nearly as bad. A and I took Pika for a walk before I took her to a friend's house for a sleep over.
I watched "Brittany Runs a Marathon" and ate left over stir fry for dinner. Once Ben got home we went to 4 Noses for a few beers.
Saturday (27,762 steps) - Rev Run Boulder! I wasn't feeling great most of the run - I probably need to cut out Friday drinking. Womp. Once I was able to use the bathroom mid-run I felt a LOT better. I also couldn't believe how much the trails dried out in just an hour. The last two miles were the fastest for me, it's always nice to have negative splits, even if it IS just a training run.

Ben and I went to lunch at pho (without A, since she wasn't hungry after her sleepover) and then picked up groceries for the week.
Took a nap, then we took Pika for a walk, threw food in the crock pot and headed over to pick up cookies for our first Girl Scout cookie booth of the season. We were scheduled for an unfortunate shift of SEVEN PM TO NINE PM.  Interestingly, LOTS of people apparently go to Walmart at that hour, and we had a very productive booth. Crock pot tacos for dinner and in bed relatively early.
Sunday (12,413 steps) - No alarm! Had potentially planned on running, but with Ben still being sick and it snowing yet again, we opted to skip. Went to Under the Sun for beers and food.
When we got home we took Pika for a walk. Some cleaning, and then then later we had to drop of cookie money. (So sick of cookies already).
Monday (13,732 steps) - Lower body class during lunch. Ran some errands after work and then made spaghetti for dinner and took Pika for a walk.
Stats:
  • 112,765 steps
  • miles run
  • 4 gym classes

Week in Review (October 13 - October 19)
