Week in Review (June 30 - July 6)

Tuesday (11,680 steps) - Olive walk before going to work. Went to the gym at lunch and did a hike on the treadmill. Dinner? Good Fight?
Wednesday (13,016 steps) - Olive walk before going to work. Gym at lunch for some strength training and another treadmill walk. Went out in the afternoon for another walk around the block. Olive walk when I got home. Dinner? Good Fight?
Thursday (17,855 steps) - Up early so I took Olive for a long walk to the lake. Went for a short run later in the morning. Not bad for first run back after a 100 miler.
Walked Olive at lunch. Had my annual mammogram midafternoon - which thankfully is right down the street, so it's about a half hour of my day. Ben and I headed to Torchy's for dinner. Another Olive walk when we got home. Good Fight.
Friday (15,646 steps) - Had the day off for the 4th of July holiday, so took Olive for a quick walk before packing up our things to head up to the mountains for the weekend. We unfortunately hit a lot of traffic on the drive up. Quick trip to Outer Range and then stopped at Petco because I realized Olive was not wearing a patriotic bandana!
Ben and I took Olive for a walk on the trails near Tenderfoot and Straight Creek.

Lee picked up pizza for dinner and I took Olive for a walk around the block before it got too dark. Stayed up much later than normal.
Saturday (22,519 steps) - Up at 5:30 to get dressed and stop for coffee and a donut on the way to the annual Herman Gulch hike! Thankfully, there were plenty of parking spaces. Definitely was a concern with the 4th actually falling on a Saturday. We had a pretty good-sized group and headed up the hill in perfect weather.

The biggest excitement was seeing a young moose about halfway up the climb.

Olive was sad to not have any snow and the lake at the top was definitely much lower than I've ever seen.

Most of us headed down the hill to Cabin Creek for more socializing. Really warm and still no cover on the patio. Also, their customer service still sucks. We headed back up the hill to Outer Range for a drink and lunch. On the way to Lee's we stopped at the grocery store to pick up burgers and hot dogs to grill.
Very tired dog
Delicious food and Lee had a few other friends stop by.
Sunday (16,699 steps) - Woke up early and decided it was better to pack up and head home before all the holiday traffic started. We stopped at Dutch on the way home.
Ariel came by for a few minutes and went with me on walk with Olive. Got everything unpacked and started on laundry. Parry's for lunch because for some reason Ben felt like having a salad.
Also, them having air conditioning was an incentive also. Went for a long walk in the afternoon heat to get my steps in. Had to run to Costco to pick up some groceries since we haven't been to the store in so long. Pizza for dinner, Olive walk and Good Fight.
Monday (19,908 steps) - Actually set my alarm to get up and do a run since the forecast was not favorable for a lunch run. Also, with all the fires happening right now I figured it was better to get the run out of the way early. It wasn't bad, although it was definitely humid and hazy.

Ben and I took Olive for a short walk and then started work. Short walk with Olive at lunch. Did a few deliveries after I was off work and then made dinner. Good Fight.

Stats:
  • 117,323 steps
  • 16.23 miles run
  • 20.94 miles walked
  • 0 minutes of cardio
  • 20 minutes of strength
  • 0 minutes of sauna
