Week in Review (November 5 - November 11)

Tuesday (19,192 steps) - Strength class during lunch. Milk Market run club! First experience (basically) running downtown in the dark from beginning to end. Run was... not great. I started out too fast and then had to walk a bunch in the second mile. Pizza and salad for dinner.
Wednesday (18,511 steps) - Core class during lunch. Runners Roost Boulder!
The group opted to do a run that didn't loop all the way back around the trail head, so Pika, A and I did our own run, opting to go up Skunk and down Bear. Oh my lord was there soooo muuuuuch mud when we got up higher. It ended up being a little comical, but geez.

Thursday (14,401 steps) - Berkeley Park walk around the lake with Pika and Ariel. Ben was finally able to join us for run club, although he mentioned that he was having some fairly severe calf pain when he ran by us. Back over to Goldspot for trivia! We ended up having a tie breaker for the win - turns out second place isn't THAT bad, we still got a small bar tab.
Friday (10,338 steps) - Core class during lunch. A had spent the night at Abby's, so Ben and I went to 4 Noses for happy hour and then to Torchy's for dinner - where we ran into Maria and her husband (that we didn't know live only about a mile from us!)
Saturday (39,442 steps) - Runners Edge! I was not looking forward to running on Big Dry Creek (nor running 14 miles). I showed up in a skirt and tee shirt while everyone else looked like they were running in sub zero temps. I chose wisely, it really heated up quickly. The first 8-9 weren't terrible, and I ran most of the way with Jen and Lisa. Mile 12 was about when the wheels started to fall off. Ah well, got all the miles done AND it was my longest run since Tahoe.
New tunnel art
Ran some errands on the way home while waiting for Ben to finish up his adventure of the day. Ariel wasn't getting dropped off until later, so I picked up Chipotle for lunch and then took Pika for a long walk.

Went to Dulce's for second Saturday/November birthdays! Zach made pizzas again, and it was a really fun night.
Zach, Greg & A - November birthdays!
Sunday (25,229 steps) - I managed to get up early to run 6 miles at the lake (that was pretty awful and also hot).

We drove over to Resolute to meet up with Maureen for the Five Alarm 5k. She still isn't able to run, so Pika and I walked with her and Colfax.

Had a few beers before going to the grocery store and heading home to throw stuff in the crock pot. Tyler came over for a bit, then we binge watched a few weeks worth of Walking Dead.
Monday (8,028 steps) - Apparently, nothing?

Stats:
  • 135,141 steps
  • 27.5 miles run (and already "taper" time... haha)
  • Three gym classes

Week in Review (February 12 - February 18)

Tuesday (6,401 steps) - Strength class during lunch. Went to bed at 8:30 because I was grumpy.
Wednesday (20,231 steps) - Runners Roost Boulder!
We really should not have been on the trails - it was sooo muddy. And also very windy. Probably in my top ten worst/least fun runs ever.

Under the Sun after for my first stout month visit this year.
Thursday (7,123 steps) - Core class during lunch. Was supposed to go to 2Cellos concert, but it was cancelled because they weren't able to get here because of weather. Bummer. Ended up just going to Torchy's for dinner.

Then A fixed some of the color in my hair. She thought it would be hilarious to do "Birdbox" hair dye, and surprise me with what colors she used. Fun night after all.
Friday (10,312 steps) - Left work early so we could attend Nate & Sydney's wedding in Boulder. Really fun night, even though we did have to sit at the misfit table. A even caught the bouquet!

Saturday (23,778 steps) - Runners Edge! Thankfully we were in Arvada and had the start/finish. I don't love this route, but it's downhill on the way back.

Besides, there was a puppy waiting for us!
Went to breakfast at IHOP with Kristin, Pete & Janet. Family "second/third" Saturday dinner (Thanksgiving theme!) at Dulce's.

Apparently the only "people" picture...
Sunday (4,063 steps) - Nothing?
Monday (7,289 steps) - Core class during lunch.... nothing else?

Stats:

  • 79,197 steps
  • 14.7 miles run
  • 3 gym visits

Week in Review (January 8 - January 14)

Tuesday (13,188 steps) - Strength class during lunch. Walk to the lake with A after work.
Wednesday (23,844 steps) - Boulder run club! For the first time EVER, I was able to get through the first 2ish miles without a single walk break. Woot! I felt pretty strong the whole run.
We had enough time to color A's hair after run club - she loves it! (Better pics to follow at some point).
Thursday (11,475 steps) - Core class during lunch, encountered the Stock Show parade on my walk back to the office.
Walking at Berkeley Park.
I convinced A that she had time to put highlights in my hair.
And it turned out FANTASTIC (pics are actually from the next day, obviously)

Friday (9,905 steps) - Not sure how I didn't get 10,000 steps for the day - weird! Rain/snow all day long. Met up with friends for lunch at the new pizza place downtown. Grocery shopping. Went for a walk with A to the lake (yes, even though it was snowing).

Grocery shopping. Went for a walk with A to the lake (yes, even though it was snowing).
Saturday (20,344 steps) - Up early and decided that since it was no longer snowing that we would attempt to go to Brainard Lake for snowshoeing since it was an off week for Runners Edge. The roads were actually not awful, although I had to drive a lot slower than I normally do. Saw two moose on the way!

Snowshoeing was a lot of fun and not as cold or windy as I feared it might be. Over 5 miles around the lake.

Then we went to James Peak Brewery in Nederland for lunch with Michelle and Scott.

Home to shower, then met up with Kristin and family for Kokopelli's 5th anniversary.
AND THEN, down to Dulce's for Second Saturday. Busiest day ever.

Sunday (16,192 steps) - Slept in!!! Head up to Boulder for the Leadville Lottery reveal. Once again, even running a 10 minute pace was too slow to keep up with the group, so I kinda got lost. Luckily, it's "just Boulder," and I was able to get my bearings without too much difficulty. Ended up running 6 miles (instead of 5), and a pretty fast pace.

Panel was interesting, and fun to see so many people there, lots of friends got in! Spur of the moment decision (thanks, Jared) to sign Ariel up for the Heavy Half (and apparently, I'm in for the marathon again. Sure. Why not.) We shut the place down, dinner, bed early.
Monday (16,031 steps) - Core class during lunch. Stapleton run club after! A actually decided to run with me and paced me for a pretty speedy 5K.
Station 26 after for beers - it was great to chat with Carol, we never see her now that we don't run much in Denver.
Stats:

  • 110,979 steps
  • 15.9 miles run (is this right? haha)
  • 3 trips to the gym, snowshoeing & a few walks

Week in Review (June 9 - June 15)

Tuesday  (14,593 steps) - Peloton and Olive walk (with Ben!) before going to work.  Gym at lunch for StairMaster, weights and a treadmill wa...
