Wednesday (20,532 steps) - Work in the office, walk at lunch. Ariel texted me in the afternoon to let me know that the same dogs had broken into our yard again. This time, she had already let Olive out (not knowing they were in the yard) and they were chasing her and being aggressive. Like last time, no response from the text/phone call, so since this is the second incident in two weeks, I called Animal Control so they could issue them a warning. Sigh. Headed over to Dino Ridge for more repeats. Every time I do these, I think I will die, then it usually works out fine.
Thursday (20,098 steps) - Work from home. Easy run that actually felt easy.
Took Olive for a walk - she was having fun chasing a squirrel.Friday (15,275 steps) - Wash Park and coffee. Left work early so I could go to A's cross country meet. Thankfully it was nice and cool compared to most other days recently. This meet seemed SO MUCH BIGGER than other ones. Apparently there was a league (or regionals?) happening at the same time, so I guess it makes sense. A said she had a terrible race, but she was only like 5 seconds off a PR and has been out rehabbing an injury AND has had a nasty cold for over a week. I think she did awesome.
Saturday (36,454 steps) - Long run day at Waterton. It was freakishly cold when we started. I think I kept my R1 on for at least the first 3 miles. And I definitely would've worn gloves if I had them.
LOTS of sheep on the way back, which I love! Hurried home to walk Olive and shower before going up to Boulder to meet Erica for Ariel's senior (!!!) pictures. These are a few I took on my phone, can't wait to see the professional ones.
No recollection of the rest of the day, but we did go to Torchy's for dinner.
Sunday (20,138 steps) - Ben's foot is bothering him, so I headed out solo for some recovery miles. I don't know why I ran to the north side, it IS hillier going that way. Warm, but it went pretty well.
Took Olive for a walk and spotted another owl!Ben and I went to get protein shakes from Ziggi's. YUM - these are probably all sugar, but I don't care, it's delicious.
4 Noses for a bit, leftovers for dinner.
Monday (24,746 steps) - Work from home. Took Olive for a walk at lunch. Headed to Davidson Mesa after work for some speed intervals. I can't believe how "dark" it's getting already. Sigh. Wish fall would stick around for a bit.Stats:
- 147,582 steps
- 41.15 miles run
- 30 minutes of cardio
- 45 minutes of strength
I'm with you - I wish we could have a longer fall. I feel like Colorado went from hot and summery to chilly weather in the blink of an eye this year!
