Yasso 800's. Yep. I haven't done speed work since my foot started bothering me back in September. I've been feeling better, so it was time to start incorporating these back into my workouts.
- Warm up - 10 min @ 5.6 mph
- Yasso 800s - 5 sets - 4 min @ 7.5 mph and 4 min @ 3.3 mph
- Cool down - 30 min @ 5.6 mph
It could have been worse. I'm a bit surprised I had any energy left in me to run the extra 15.
2. The Schedule
Well, November is a very light month for races. I have a race this weekend in Mesa, AZ. I won't lie. I'm super excited for it. Mainly because I loathe winter and the snow just started falling here. It is supposed to be mid 70s this weekend in Arizona. Woo hoo!! The only other race is Thanksgiving day, in Atlanta, GA. I suppose the break is nice, but I miss racing. It's so hard to motivate myself to do a long run. Especially with winter arriving, outdoor running is going to be rare.
3. The Job
Or lack thereof. This sucks. Not a single interview has been scheduled. Tomorrow will be four weeks since I last worked. I know that there are lots of people looking for work. I just can't believe that not even the temp agency I'm registered with can seem to find something. I can't even get a call back on the part time and retail jobs I've applied for. SO DISCOURAGING.
Good job on running the speed workouts, just 2 weeks after your marathon. I'm sorry about the job, stay positive and I'll keep my fingers cross, it will work out soon :)
