This was a strange week for me with the 4th of July falling on a Thursday, giving me that extra "weekend" day. Of course, unlike a weekend day it was in the middle of the week and I had to go to work the day before and the day after. I had gotten pretty lazy about tracking food again, so I really had no idea what to expect.

Tuesday - Barre (EXHAUSTING)
Wednesday - 3.15 miles at run club
Thursday - Half on the 4th
Friday - Nothing
Saturday - Slow and hilly 12 miles with Hope and Runner's Edge. An interesting route that was completely on paths near my house that I didn't even know existed. Had a woman from the run tell me she reads my blog. (Twice in one week, I should probably hire an agent).
Sunday - I had plans to go to Lululemon for yoga. I drove all the way to Boulder only to find out... store is dark. Womp. I ended up doing a run at Davidson Mesa (fast-ish for me, a walk and then a super slow hour on the treadmill at the gym). Total run - about 6.5 miles. The craziest thing about my workouts for the day? All done in Lulu shorty shorts and a sports bra (I had brought a tee to wear for yoga, which seemed way too hot to run in). It was NOT the most self-conscious I've ever been.
Monday - The very last Chaos class. Womp.

This was by FAR the most running I have done in MONTHS. None if it was especially great, especially not the half marathon. It was nice to get in more slow and "pressure free" miles over the weekend. With my race hiatus coming up, that will become more of the norm, as long as my legs will tolerate it. No bike this week and a bit less of the strengthening videos as I was SO SORE AND WEAK after doing barre. I certainly hope at some point I actually get stronger and those things don't put me out of commission for so long...

Weekly Loss - 2.0 pounds
Loss Since April 30 - 13.6 pounds

That was a bit unexpected. 4th of July was pretty much a free-for-all, and again, beer consumption was a bit elevated. Maybe my "unattainable" goal of 15 pounds isn't totally out of reach?? Maybe I'll play yet another week...

What has become a pretty typical meal for me

  1. I love your plates.

You can FOR SURE hit 15 lbs. I bet you do it this week.

    That trail is REALLY pretty.

  2. Wow, that is more veggies than I eat in a week.

    Explains a lot around here.

  3. Wow what a view for your run.....driving to a cancelled class sucks but that must have made up for it!
Food looks good too but I'm always a sucker for good food, about 2lbs from my weight watchers goal weight....I'll be sucking everything in on the scales next week lol

  4. You are totally inspiring me with this weightloss and still being able to drink beer. I'm trying myself, but I'm a bit impatient.
