Week in Review (January 10 - January 16)

Tuesday (13,233 steps) - Slept AWESOME. Went to Laura's barre class during lunch. It was sold out, very hot in the studio, and like always - super challenging. Construction downtown made my normal commute home impossible, but luckily I left a tad early to go a different way. Managed to get A to gymnastics with just a few minutes to spare. Reheated leftovers, both of us had showers, one episode of Law & Order, bed.
Wednesday (21,719 steps) - 6 am barre class with Nicole. Hate, hate, HATE the pretzel glut exercises. HATE. My body just cannot do them, and I feel like trying it is a wasted exercise. Went to the Denver store for run club.
It was a bit colder than I expected and I WAY overdressed for our run. Starting the new year off right and ran 3 miles with Lisa, Jandy, A, Colfax, Alison (and a new girl, I can't remember her name). Of course we stayed longer than we expected.
Stopped at the grocery store on the way home so we could make thin mint mini cheesecakes.
Thursday (21,559 steps) - 6 am barre class with Andrea... my 100th class!!! I got some new bracelets and will get a special tank when they finally come in. Pretty exciting! After work we went to the Lakewood store for the Belmar run.
It was cold and snowy. A decided to walk with Mo, so it was just me and Colfax. It is pretty well lit in the park, so I didn't even wear my headlamp. We ran on random trails until we hit just over 3 miles.
Went to Rocko's after.
Friday (11,873 steps) - Got to "sleep in" and yet I still felt incredibly tired. I guess that is from taking three 6 am barre classes this week. Picked up A from school and went up to Heather's house for a Friday the 13th gathering. Had some delicious BBQ and as always, it was great to see everyone. Very surprised to get surprise souvenirs from Heather's recent trip to Florida. Gathered up all our gear for snowshoeing!
Saturday (19,938 steps) - Up crazy early for our drive up to Snow Mountain Ranch. Lisa arrived just after 6 am, and we started the drive. Traffic was a fucking nightmare once we hit I-70. We stupidly thought that allowing an extra 45 minutes would be plenty of time, but... Traffic was awful. We spent most of the drive on 70 on the frontage road, cruising at under 10 mph. Once we were finally able to exit towards Empire, the traffic thinned out. We had been worried all week about driving through Berthoud Pass, but it was fine. Roads were pretty dry. We arrived at the Nordic Center with maybe 10 minutes for Lisa to rent equipment. Apparently, we also needed trail passes, which they seemed to want to charge us for, even though the whole event was supposed to be free. THEN, we still had to drive to get to the start of our activity. Luckily, we were only a minute or so late and we were the only ones heading out to the waterfall. We had a blast. A struggled a bit with some of the climbing, and there were sections where there were some deep holes in the trail, and we were disappointed that the trail going to the actual waterfall was closed, but OVERALL, fun. The best part was breaking trail for maybe a mile on the way down.

On the way out of town, we stopped at a brewery in Fraser (beer was great) and then went to Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs for pizza and more beer. We also walked down the street to one more brewery (hey, why not), and we were VERY disappointed in the beer at that place. Hey, 2 out of 3 isn't bad? By the time we got home it was already pretty late. Jessa texted me around 7:45, and dang it, we had to go see her. She made us dinner and we sat around talking for a few hours. It was probably 11 pm before we left.
Sunday (10,643 steps) - Thankfully, I went to the later barre class at 9:30. Headed home for a little bit of rest before driving down to Runners' Roost for the Leadville lottery announcements. It had started snowing, so I was relieved that I didn't know about the run before the event. We just hung out and talked with people and I grabbed one of the good beers before it all started. Sadly, we didn't win any of the drawings.
But of course, A made friends with Ken - local legend!
Left around 5 pm to take A up to Rachelle's and then drove back down to Lisa's to pick her up for some bar hopping. We went to the Our Mutual Friend brewing company and had a delicious beer before walking over to 10 Barrel for more delicious beer (and hummus and sweet potato fries). Out pretty late for a Sunday!
Monday (15,946 steps) - I had planned on getting up to run in the morning, but it had snowed all night and everything looked like a mess. So I shoveled, ate breakfast and then went to barre at noon. Picked up A from her friend's house, went to Panera for lunch and then went grocery shopping. Drove down to Belmar for ice skating, which may be our new MLK day tradition.
Quick stop at Runner's Roost to pick up a Hydro Flask for Mo (and me),  before going to Mo's house. We sat around for a bit, then decided to go to Yard House for a late dinner. Probably 9 pm before we got home. Shortest weekend ever.

Stats:
  • 114,911 steps
  • 6.2 miles run
  • 4 barre classes, 5 miles snowshoe, walking
  • Current weight - don't care.
Everything Else:
  • Ugh, struggling with a lot this week. Finances suck, tired of worrying about money ALL THE TIME.

Week in Review (January 20 - January 26)

Tuesday - Speed work! warm up, 6 x 400 and cool down. Yes, the picture below was my best effort. HAHAHAHA.

Was feeling pretty sore when I got home, so I did a "new to me" yoga/pilates Fitness Blender video. It was different, and I felt better after doing it.
Wednesday - An hour of hills... max incline 7.5%. Which, let me tell you, IS HARD. This was HARD. But I'm trying to get stronger this year, and I would like running to not feel as...well, hard. HA.

I'm also trying to get back into doing some cross training. I've been slacking over the last year or so and I can tell that it has affected my running. I did another "new to me" video - this one was a chest and shoulders video, which I also liked.
Thursday - 3.3 miles on the treadmill, which were pretty nice.
Friday - So my extended family was in town for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah. I left work early so that I could make it to the service and dinner. It was nice to catch up with everyone, but I ate too much. Again.
Saturday - The goal was to get a decent mid length (I was aiming for about 6 miles) run in before heading back up to Boulder for the Bar Mitzvah. I got up before dawn and headed to Sloans Lake, where I hoped to run two loops around the lake. Right from the beginning I felt "off" - and it didn't get better from there. It was SUPER cold, but there were actually a few people out on the two lane "trail" around the lake. I needed to use the bathroom, but it was so dark I couldn't see where any were. Lets just say that I should have stopped after one loop. Instead, there was an incident. :*(  Sometimes I really hate running.

The after party was at the bowling alley - with an open bar. Another full day of family fun and eating too much. Since it was also my nephew's birthday, we had a huge chocolate cake. Then, we had pizza Saturday. I was awoken about 2 hours after I went to bed because A was puking. So that was fun.
Sunday - A claimed to be recovered from her food poisoning (or whatever had happened), and still wanted to go on our weekly run. I had been hoping to go run on a trail, but with the moisture we have had, many were too muddy and I didn't think she would like that. I was a bit hungover, so we didn't head out onto Big Dry Creek until after the sun was up. It was a bit windy at the start, but then it really warmed up. We did three miles! A is really building up a pretty good base.

Can you believe this is Colorado in January??
We then met up with my cousins and their kids before they had to the airport. We went to Boondocks where the kids were able to play laser tag, go bowling, miniature golfing, go carting and playing arcade games.

The cousins had to head to the airport, and we went to the Southern Sun for beers and dinner.

We clearly hadn't eaten ENOUGH, and had some dessert bread (and I had more beer). And then the newest challenge was born. More details below.
Monday - 4 mostly ok miles on the treadmill and a video - 100 Rep Squat Challenge #2.

Miles Run - 23.6 miles
Minutes of Cross Training - 0
Minutes of Strength Training/Stretching - 73! (Way up from the 0 of weeks past)

Weekly Gain - 3.2 pounds

  • Well, the weigh in was a day earlier, and a direct result of the "NEW CHALLENGE"
  • So L and I have a fascination with shows like "My 600 Pound Life" and "The Biggest Loser." I like watching shows like this. We watched a show on Sunday night about a woman in the United Kingdom that purposely gained 42 pounds (in three months), just to prove that it can be lost in the same amount of time, just by eating everything in moderation and very "moderate" exercise.
  • I have been out of control AGAIN with the food/eating. I know I have food issues, mainly that if I am around different/good things I become unable to STOP. Every meal is like "the last supper." Stupid.
  • So. I am not trying to gain or lose anything in an irrational amount of time, but there were a few things I "liked" about the show. The idea (and TRUTH), that if you don't go overboard, you CAN enjoy all the things you like. Again, my problem is STOPPING.
  • I've also been out of control with the weekly weigh in and the calorie log in. So another part of the "challenge" is that there is NO weigh in until the end day, and there is NO calorie logging.
  • So what makes this "fun"??? - WELL, L and I roped Heather into joining us. We are still sending each other pictures of our food, and on March 1, we are doing a weigh in and whoever loses the largest percentage wins a $50 gift card, paid for by the two "losers" - we did a picture virtual weigh in Monday morning.
  • Just for the fun of the BLOG, I will do a daily collage of what I ate that day. I KNOW, COULD MY BLOG GET ANY BETTER?
  • So... day 1 of the challenge - this is what I ate:

  • I actually COOKED again this week. A picked an enchilada recipe. It was pretty delicious, although probably not super nutritious.
Everything Else

Still loving the job. I have to share this picture of our fabulous break room!

Week in Review (September 16 - September 22)

Tuesday - Ran a few easy during lunch and then had a great 6 miles on the treadmill after work.
Wednesday - Left work early for the interview, then I was able to stop at home and pick up A so we could go to run club. I finally got to test out the Hoka, although I don't think I will be buying into the hype. Easy 1.5ish with A.

I broke down and got a Roll Recovery - have you used this??? Hurts so good...
Thursday - Literally ran to/from the doctor during lunch and then another lovely run on the treadmill after work. 7.5 excellent miles.
Friday - Pizza, beer and driving to Buena Vista.
Saturday - Autumn Color Run - more pizza and beer.
Sunday - Nothing in the morning. Spent the afternoon with Jessa watching football and planning what we are going to do for fun in NYC! Hard to believe it is right around the corner!
Monday - A few sorta hard miles during lunch. Legs heavy and tired. Chaos after work, although I was 10 minutes late thanks to traffic. I can't believe it takes over an hour sometimes to go less than 10 miles. And the winter and snow isn't even here yet! After dinner, a quick stretching video - VERY NEEDED.

Weekly Miles Run - 36.37
Minutes of Cross Training- 50
Minutes of Strength/Stretching - 13

Weekly Loss - 1.2 pounds (116.4)
  • How shocking. Eat less, move more. And as I have said - it really is a numbers based game - this whole weight loss thing. My "in" is more of a guesstimate since I ate out a few times this week. But overall, you get the gist.
  • I really like my FitBit - as I said, now that I am actually using it like it should be used - it is really a helpful tool.
  • I ate pretty much all the things this week - again, as long as I am burning what I am eating, it IS, in fact, possible to lose weight without cutting out ANYTHING.

Everything Else
  • So I had the interview last Wednesday. Not sure it really went that well. Was told that they would be contacting people if they made it through to the second interview in 7-10 days (so I guess by the end of this week). If I haven't heard anything by the end of day tomorrow, I will follow-up. It sounds like I would be a good fit, I am just a terrible interviewer.
  • Wow, I was thinking about it today, it has been more than ELEVEN months since I went on my last date. That's sad. I guess.
  • So I filed papers with the Texas AG office a few (?) months ago since the ex has stopped paying child support altogether. For a while there, he was sending something almost every month (less than he was supposed to, but better than nothing). It has been over 4 months since he last sent payment. I will never understand why people don't pay child support.
  • A lost ANOTHER tooth... three teeth since the first week of August.

Week in Review (September 9 - September 15)

Tuesday - Did intervals during lunch. After work, I went with L and my dad to get new iPhones. We all have the 4S and decided to save a ton of money and just upgrade to the 5S. Which honestly, is pretty sweet compared to what I had. Got in another few miles after that.
Wednesday - Fun night at run club! Newton was the sponsor and I tried the new "Aha" - which I didn't especially love. A bit more narrow in the toe box, so not for me.
Thursday - Like last year on September 11, I ran 9.11 miles. Always lacking in time, I had to split my run into two segments, during lunch and after work.
Friday - Shockingly, pizza and beer.
Saturday - Up early to do a trail run on North Table. It was CHILLY, and I actually wore long sleeves for this run! It was in the upper 30's when I left the house and only mid 40's when I finished.
After breakfast and a quick shower, we headed up to Mount Falcon for a hike with A's Girl Scout troop.

Sunday - Nothing.
Monday - 4.1 mile progressive run on the treadmill during lunch. CHAOS after work.

If Target can put out the Halloween candy, I can start wearing Halloween apparel
Weekly Miles Run - 30.11 (very high considering I had no races)
Minutes of Cross Training - 60
Minutes of Strength - None

Weekly Loss - 2.2 (117.6)
  • When I for REAL use the FitBit how it is intended (logging EVERY calorie) and not going under, I can apparently lose a bit of weight. (FYI, I am certainly still eating, calories for each day: T-1615, W-1390, T-1697, F-1851, S-2577, S-1627, M-1741).
  • Like I learned the last time I wanted to lose a few pounds, nothing has to be CUT OUT... just don't be unreasonable (which sometimes is hard, I am for REAL a bottomless pit).
Everything Else
  • We are having a lot of fun with Batman Sour. He seems to be mellowing out (sort of).
  • Wish me luck - I have that interview... tomorrow!
  • I have been selected to be an Orange Mud ambassador! You have seen my posts about my sweet jet pack, and now the benefit is that I can offer a discount to you! Order yours here and code BECKASPEEPS will save you 10%!

Week in Review (Dec. 31 - Jan. 6)

Tuesday - New Years Double "Eve" marathon. An uneventful New Year's Eve, as for the third year in a row I did not make it until midnight.
Wednesday - New Years Double "Day" marathon. After lunch/showering, we had to drive back to Austin from Dallas. LONG, LONG, LONG drive.
Thursday - Lisa had to work, so I spent most of the day on the couch watching a Criminal Minds marathon and dozing off. That night, 1ish mile sloooww around the neighborhood with Lisa. I finally got to see A for the night, and we played a fun game of "Beat the Parents" (which, by the way, THE PARENTS WON):

Friday - Lisa had to work again, so I dropped her off at work. Spent part of the morning watching more crime tv before I finally decided to go for a quick run - on the Brushy Creek trail. Legs felt pretty good and I knocked out a fairly solid 3.3 miles.
Lisa had a date, so I took my oldest niece to go see the Hunger Games. We went to a 9:40 showing, and holy cow, did you know it didn't get out until after midnight?? I'm too old for this.
Saturday - Again, spent a lot of the day on the couch, resting. Mid afternoon, we headed towards downtown, where we ran by Town Lake. First 1.5ish was slow run/walk with Lisa and then I just had to get some real running in and ran other 2/3 of a mile. Wish I would have had more time for this one, it was a great trail. So pretty!
Last "kid free" night, so we went out to the karaoke bar. Surprisingly, I can spend about one evening with the ex without my head exploding. Apparently, I'm the only one that didn't know we were doing goofy face pictures:

Sunday - Repeat couch time. FAAAAAAST mile around the neighborhood before decided to go "hiking" near Georgetown on the San Gabriel trail with Lisa and my niece. They called it a "hike" - but really, 99% of it was paved and it was mostly flat. So maybe, I should just call it a long and windy walk?
Monday - Initially, I had planned on heading to the gym and trying to knock out 5-6 miles. Then,  my ex called to say he was dropping off A earlier than expected. I ended up just doing a mile around the neighborhood. Rest of the time in Austin spent packing and going to the airport. Flight delayed (what a shock), and by the time L picked us up it was already almost 7:00. So glad I chose to fly in on the "early" flight or I could have ended up not getting back until the middle of the night. Rounded out the #eatallthethings vacation with pizza. Delicious.

Weekly Miles Run - 61.83 (8.49 outside, 53.34 racing)
Weekly Cross Training - 6.3 miles hiking
Minutes of Strength Training - ZERO (I failed big time this week)

Weekly Gain - 2.0 pounds
  • I'm actually a little surprised it isn't worse. But... what that DOES mean is that I've gained about 6 pounds in the last month. I've historically never had this happen over the holidays, I typically maintain pretty well.
  • Related: I don't care. I enjoyed a lot of foods I normally skip over due to "being bad" for me.
  • Related: I must have had GALLONS of beer on vacation. GALLONS.
  • Related: Back on track now that I am back from vacation and things are going to go back to as "normal" as they ever get.

 Everything Else
  • Back at work, and still the only legal assistant. All of the attorneys are SUPER HAPPY to see me. What that means is I have a crap-ton of work to do. Apparently, time stood still while I was gone.
  • Related: There was a woman interviewing this morning - CROSSING MY FINGERS.
  • Related: Apparently, our firm is relocating to another building, about a mile south of here. What that means for me is a longer commute, actually having to drive INTO the city, instead of being able to park on the outskirts, and my "cheap" lot is waaaay too far for me to continue to park in. The move is rumored to happen by April 1. I am very unhappy about this, as this will end up costing me at least $10 more in parking, and of course, longer and more angry commute. Sigh.
  • Still haven't heard on the interview I went on before Christmas. Still hoping that it was just really busy over the holidays and I will  hear something soon?
  • Noooooooooothing else.

Week in Review (Dec. 24 - Dec. 30)

Tuesday - Christmas Eve. I ran a decently warm 6.7 miles along another section of Clear Creek trail that I've never run. Not super scenic and like usual, struggled a bit. Running with L is definitely like doing speed work. SHE IS THE FASTEST.
Wednesday - Christmas Day and the weather was once again nice enough for a run outside. L and I picked Big Dry Creek, and we knocked out a pretty tough 6.3 miles. For REAL, running with her is the hardest.
After our run we sat around and watched tv and then we headed over to Jessa's house for Christmas dinner. She went all out and made a TON of food. We were so full after eating that we could barely move. L dozed off a bit and Jessa and I stole Jackson's Lego's and build the Vampyre Hearse. These Lego kits are COMPLICATED. Holy crap, that took HOURS. Had more beer once I got home.

Thursday - 2.5 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I think it was ok, I don't remember. Also did the video trifecta (legs, arms, core)
Friday - 1 mile in the basement inferno. Zero recollection if this was good, bad or otherwise.
Saturday - Last run of the year in Colorado. The weather was really pretty great again and L and I ran a new section of Ralston Creek in west Arvada. Solid 7 mile run. Will really miss these runs when I have to get back on the treadmill when A gets back from Texas.
L had to nap so she would be able to drive me to the airport, so I sat around watching tv before heading to the airport. It magically started snowing, and even though my flight was supposed to leave at 9:50 pm, my flight would eventually be delayed THREE HOURS. This resulted in me sitting at the airport bar until close, spending an OBSCENE amount of money on beer. I barely remember my flight.

Sunday - What. A. Long. Day. I felt like shit all day after all my drinking at the bar. With my flight not getting in until almost 4 am, I didn't get much sleep and spent most of the day nauseous and wanting to die. Managed to squeeze in a mile-ish run with A around the neighborhood. SUPER chilly.
Monday - Wasn't really in the mood for a long run, you know, tapering for DOUBLE MARATHONS. Lisa had to work a few hours, so I ran a mile-ish in by her work. IT WAS THE HARDEST MILE EVER. Really really really really REALLY dreading the DOUBLE MARATHONS I was stupid enough to sign up for. For REAL, there is something wrong with me.

Weekly Miles Run - 34.55 (3.5 treadmill, 31.05 outside)
Minutes of Strength Training - 30 (ouch)

Gain/Loss - ?!? It's a MYSTERY!!! NO WEIGH IN.
  • First off, it's the holidays. Second, I've been out of town since the 28th. I am sure there has been a gain, but I didn't even bother with a weigh in, so I have no idea what it might be.
  • The biggest culprit of the week? BEER, BEER, BEER, AND MORE BEER.
  • I've been super hungry lately, but that isn't necessarily out of the ordinary. I didn't eat nearly as "clean" as usual, and I think that was showing in my laziness. Ohhhhh welllls. It's the HOLIDAYS.

Everything Else
  • So, there was a secretary hired. And she worked one day. And never came back.
  • Related: When are they going to recognize my manager is A CRAZY PERSON and eliminate the REAL problem in our firm??
  • Related: I will deserve a medal of honor if I survive my employment without my head exploding and/or me snapping.
  • NOTHING ELSE.

December Dollars

As promised, I continued to track all my finances through the month of December, since it was going to be a more "typical" month of spending.

Household Bills (Mortgage, Electricity & Water) - $856.70 (My half)
Car (Loan, Insurance) - $434.50
Netflix - $8.27
Credit Card Payments - $160.00
Savings, Investments - $85.00
Insurance (Life, A's Health) - $129.40
Dad (Money I owe him and cell phone) - $150.00
Gym Membership & Childcare - $41.90 (My half)
Race Registration - $240.00 (Only one, NYC marathon!)
Groceries - $173.00
Beer (Store & Bar) - $108.31(about $50 higher than normal between excessive delay at the airport and beer I bought for Christmas dinner)
Dining Out - $105.44
Parking - $112.00
Gas - $80.36
Gifts - $16.96
Other (Roller Skating, non-food items) - $51.74

I didn't get as much money from my ex this month (he recently quit his job), so I wasn't able to chip away at the credit cards as much as I would like. This is definitely a better example of where my money actually goes. Other than registering for the NYC marathon and the beer this month, there really isn't anywhere I can/will cut. We didn't do any extra-curricular spending this month and I had no one but a work friend to buy Christmas presents for, which saved a lot of money.

It really is eye-opening to see where money goes. Thinking I might risk going from cash to debit, although I'm not super reliable about writing everything down. Due to reduced income and high outflow, I don't keep a ton of money in my checking account and I don't have overdraft. Tips on keeping track of money? I still use a paper register...

Not sure if I will continue tracking going into 2014, as it seems I've got things as under control as it can be...

Week in Review (Dec. 17 - Dec. 23)

Tuesday - 3.5 miles in the basement inferno, video trifecta (arms, legs, core), 121 push-ups, 121 jumping jacks, 4:06 plank.
Wednesday - 3.52 miles at run club! The weather was so mild I had to take off my light jacket a mile in because I was so hot. My friend Heather gave me this really adorable beanie (I've already ran in it THREE times!)

Thursday - 5 fairly terrible miles on the treadmill at the gym. I for REAL just need to quit running on Thursdays. Every time it seems like it is the Worst Ever.
Friday - 1.5 miles in the basement inferno, video trifecta (arms, legs, core), 111 push-ups, 111 jumping jacks, 3:05 plank.
Saturday - My mom needed a ride to the airport. A and I got up early to drop them off, then we headed to the gym. Cranked out a pretty great 9.25 miles on the treadmill. Took A roller skating and then after dinner we had to head to the airport. It had snowed a bit, and even though she boarded on time (about 8:00) and pushed back on time (about 8:25), her flight didn't get in the air until 9:45. Which is when I finally got to leave the airport. 4 hours at the airport AND having to say goodbye to A were NOT my favorite parts of the day.

Sunday - L and I went for a run on a trail section I've never been on - Clear Creek Greenbelt between Wheat Ridge and Golden. It was fairly chilly out (although, let's be real. 23 degrees is pretty dang warm compared to the negative temps I ran in a few weeks ago.) No one had been out yet, so we got to hit fresh powder. None of the trail was icy, and this felt mostly good. Knocked out another 9.25 miles.

After our run, L had to nap. I spent the day on the recliner watching a "Snapped" marathon. Headed to get an eye exam to use up the rest of my Flex account before the end of the year. Then I met my older sister at the Arvada Brewery with her husband. Had a festive holiday brew and picked up a growler for Christmas Day. They each had a flight, so I got to taste some other kinds as well. THEN, I met up with L and we headed to Chili's, where I proceeded to eat THE MOST FOOD EVER. Holy cow.
Monday - Sadly, I had to go to work. They at least let us out about an hour early. Not early enough for me to meet L at BodyPump, but early enough for me to go to happy hour with the ladies from work. Happy hour quickly turned into FOUR HOURS. By the time I left, downtown was all lit up, it was after 8:00 and I still had to run.

Ran a super quick 1.25 at the gym WITHOUT throwing up. Then, I got all nostalgic and pulled out my Nintendo 64. Let me just say that I used to be REALLY GREAT at the games on this system. NOT SO MUCH. I tried a few different games for about 15 minutes then promptly gave up. TOO COMPLICATED.

Weekly Miles Run - 33.27 miles (20.5 treadmill, 12.77 outside)
Minutes of Strength Training - 90 (missed one day of videos)

Weekly(ish) Gain - 3.2 pounds
  • I forgot to do a weigh in on Tuesday. Having the day off screwed up my routine, so I didn't weigh in until Thursday. After eating non-stop for the last week.
  • Beer consumption completely out of control.
  • Dessert and sugar consumption also out of control.
  • Food in general consumption also very out of control.
  • I don't know if it is just the depression of the holidays, but I am letting everything I worked for all spring and summer get away from me. Planning on a "re-set" before things get worse.
Fancy, high ABV beers come in snifters. Did you know that?
Tried a new beer, and it was DELICIOUS!

Everything Else
  • I'm done on social media. I cannot take it anymore. I'm so so so sooooo sick and tired of happiness and thankfulness, etc. I shut down my Twitter before Thanksgiving and Facebook is next. I'm leaving it up through the rest of the day and then it is gone too.
  • Obviously, nothing good is going for me now. No news on the interview, so I'm guessing I didn't get the job. I haven't really been looking right now. I'm out of town for 10 days starting Saturday, so I'd hate to get called for an interview and not even be in town.

Summit 200 (Race Recap)

Summit County, CO Monday, July 27 200+ mile attempt #16 Weather - Rain, hail, some sun Preface I do not usually do races again if I DNF. In ...
