Week in Review (October 22 - October 28)

Tuesday (11,740 steps) - Did not want to get up today, but I had to go to work, so I took Olive for a walk before going into the office. I spent the whole day really busy getting caught up after being out of the office for 3 days. Went to the gym at lunch and got in my upper body video and stretching, plus time on the bike. Took Olive for a walk when I got home.
We went to 4 Noses for happy hour and then Ben made dinner. Only Murders after eating and in bed relatively early.
Wednesday (12,843 steps) - Walked Olive before going into the office for work. Lisa was in town for a few days, but since I had been in New Hampshire I hadn't been able to see her, so we had made plans to have lunch before she had to fly back.

Food and company were both amazing. After work I took Olive for a walk. Colors are so pretty right now!
Met Ben at Parry's for dinner and beer.
We were at home watching Barbarian when Ariel texted and asked if we could come get her instead of me driving down early in the morning for us to vote. Since we had been drinking we called an Uber for her and she joined us for the rest of the movie. Super nice to have her at home!
Thursday (10,113 steps) - Ariel and I had breakfast together and I worked for a bit while she gathered some of her warmer clothes to take back to school with her. Her first Presidential election!
We got coffee after dropping off our ballots. Got more work done when I got home and did laundry. I finally put the buckles in my second buckle holder!
The whole basement is looking pretty impressive, if I do say so myself...
I took Olive for a walk and it was a really nice afternoon! It had been cold in the morning, so I had left the house in my "house sweater" and after about 15 minutes I was roasting in the sun. Olive was probably warm in her bee costume also.

Torchy's for dinner and then we watched A Quiet Place 1 and 2 (we had watched the prequel a while back).
Friday (13,628 steps) - Wash Park with Olive and the gang. Work in the office after. Olive was a hit in her bee costume. She also got to meet giant Paddington (the dog), but I didn't think to get a picture of them.
Ben and I met at Parry's for dinner.
We got back into Friday the 13th movies.
Saturday (19,940 steps) - Up early to go to Denver Runner's Roost for the Colfax pancake run. It was supposed to start at 8 and we pulled into the lot right at 8 and it was PACKED. Seriously the most full I have ever seen it. I was saying hi to people right and left (which is a lot of the reason I wanted to go). We didn't start the run until probably 8:20. I had an hour on schedule, so we joined Janet and another lady for the 12 minute pace group. I had plans on doing around 5 miles. The pace felt pretty fast at first, but it actually wasn't as bad as I feared it might be. And I actually do really like running in the city in the fall, the trees are so pretty!

We turned around in Wash Park and headed back and got just under five miles. The line for pancakes was really long, but worth it. We
Lisa, Annette, Ang, me
We walked around the store, but neither of us bought anything, which must be a record. Took Olive for a walk when we got home,
Took Olive to PetSmart to try on shoes. She actually did really well and we are going to give this a shot during the winter to see if we can prevent some of the snowballs in her toe fur.
4 Noses for happy hour and an open face (on grilled cheese) burger. Yum.
More Friday the 13th?
Sunday (18,083 steps) - Tried to sleep in. We had a lot of things to get done, so Ben and I skipped going for an offsite run and I did my hour(ish) close to home. It has been really cold in the house since we haven't turned on the heat yet and I severely overdressed.
Got home, took a quick shower and then we went to Costco for a quick lunch and to pick up groceries for the week. We got to 4 Noses just in time for the Howl-een party. They were doing a dog costume contest and of course we entered Olive. Unfortunately she only kept her antennae on when she was sitting, so when she did her runway walk it was just her regular outfit. There were a LOT of really cute costumes and Olive did not win (even though she is adorable, there were much better costumes out there).
Stopped at home before going out to do a few deliveries. Then I took Olive for a walk. Still really pretty out!
Shepherd's Pie for dinner and MORE Friday the 13th.
Monday (18,494 steps) - Work from home. Procrastinated going on my run forever. When I finally headed out it was definitely warm. Not a bad run, thankfully. Took Olive for a long walk also. Winter is right around the corner and enjoying these nice fall days.

After I got off work I went out driving for a bit. Made pasta for dinner and watched more Friday the 13th. Not sure at this rate if we are going to get through them all before Halloween is over.

Stats:
  • 104,841 steps
  • 13.92 miles run
  • 16.3 miles walked
  • 25 minutes of cardio
  • 60 minutes of strength
