Three Things Thursday

1. Health - I think my cold is about 85% gone. I'm super psyched about this. I'm tired of being sick! As for the foot/ankle, it has been feeling pretty good all week. I've been taping with the KT tape, and it seems to be helping. I just love the awesome colors!

2. Exercise - I've taken turbo kick box twice this week (the class that replaced Bodypump), and it seems to be going... ok. I've learned that I don't do well under fast paced situations and I have little to no coordination. It is better than the alternative - more treadmill. Blech. Since I've still been recovering from my cold, I haven't done any P90X either. I think I'll start again next week. Especially now that I have no more Bodypump, I need to do weights.

3. ROAD TRIP! - Well, I'm not that excited by it. My dad was originally supposed to drive with me to Olathe for the Wickedly Fast half marathon. He isn't going to be able to make the trip because he is still out of town, so the drive is all me. L is flying out at night because she can't miss work. I had looked into just flying myself but couldn't get on the same flight and the tickets that were available were insanely expensive. So. Nine hours alone driving through Kansas. Sigh. At least L is riding back with me so that shouldn't be AS terrible.

  1. Be careful with that foot/ankle! Hope the KT Tape does the trick (I LOVE that tape!).

  2. Glad to hear the tape seems to be helping, I seem to see it everywhere lately. I had to drive solo a few weeks back to SC... lot of singing and dancing to entertain myself! Depending on what time you get in vs. what time L gets in, if you get bored or need interaction with a human being, let myself or B know via FB- we're anticipated getting in around 4ish, but apparently we'll be driving right into the middle of a storm so who knows!

  3. Hm, that is a LONG road trip! I hope you have a lot of good music - or a portable dvd player. I always bring mine on road trips and just set it in the seat next to me. Even if I'm not watching, just listening to movies really makes the time so much more enjoyable!

  4. 9 hours driving ALONE! I don't know if I could do it. Your commitment to the half and your goals is amazing.
